Using of costly and multi-zone linear convection oven does not guarantee quality soldering electronic SMD-components
PCB and electronic components have a specific heat capacity and can behave differently in the oven chamber. Some elements of the charges are warm up faster, while others are slower, which in turn affects the quality of brazing products in General. For uniform heating needed correctly select the temperature for each zone of the oven. To analyze and configure temperature profile in the oven using a special device - temperature recorders (termoprofilers, termotreckers). The device consists of the electronic module, set of thermocouples and heat-protecting housing for the electronic module
Device operation principle :
- Thermocouples are attached to the PCB sample using thermoscotch
- Thermocouples are connected to the electronic unit
- Electronic unit is placed in a protective casing
- Oven is warming up, set the width of the conveyor and conveyor recorder is launched
- At the exit of the oven, recorder is removed from the conveyor and connected to the computer
- Using specialized software, making the analysis of thermal profile graphs
- Further temperature adjustment is made oven zones and recorder restarting
